The Men’s Club Championships, delayed this year due to work on the course, concluded on Saturday and were played over the past two weeks, over 36 holes.
Dylan Bell won the A Grade Championship with scores of 74-75/149 from his father Simon Bell, two strokes further back. Grant Woods won B Grade with scores of 88-86-174 from John Cheriton on 181. The C Grade Champion is Jack Shanley with 96-92/187 and James Fuss was runner-up, two strokes adrift. Of interest, the A Grade result hinged on the final day’s play, with three players all scoring 75 off the stick.
Sadly, none of the recipients were available for photographs after play.

Twenty players took part in the Sunday Mixed Stableford competition. Broden Dennis won with 38 points from Dylan Vonderwall 36 and Jack Shanley 35 on countback from Samuel Beare.
Monday November 1
A perfect day for a game of golf but no report is available. Perhaps it’s like the Colts’ Football results sometimes advertised – “all played well”!
Tuesday November 2
With threatening rain and thunder, most attending went home early, but nine players hit off. Cody Marchesi won with 21 points for the ten holes, followed by Huey Rosalia 19 on a countback.
Wednesday November 3
The Men’s Mid-Week competition attracted 71 players, with one visitor from Copper Club GC.
The A Grade winner was Warren Rosman with 40 Stableford points from Trevor Durdin 37. The score of the day came from Mark Cooper in B Grade with 44 points from Graeme Charlton an unlucky runnerup with 41. George Mayhew took out C Grade with 39 from Wayne Smith 38 and rundowns went to Peter Kenny and Rick Kolega 37, Mike Freeman and Dan Townsend 36, Gavin Roberts 34 and Ralph Glass on 33.
NTP winners were Adam Sullivan, Aidan Sheehy, Tony Ford, David Wadey, Tony Dragun and Brenton George. Freeman, George, Dragun and Sheehy birdied par-three holes.
Thursday November 4
21 Ladies played a Par competition, sponsored by Initial Reaction.
Cynthia Thompson won the day with +1 from Jo Higgins -1 and rundowns went to Elaine Pierik and Maxine Garnaut -2 and Cindy Carr -2.
Carolyn Cocks birdied the 6th hole and she and Lorraine McDoanld were nearest the pins.
Friday November 5
There are now 19 teams playing regularly on a Friday evening for the nine-hole Ambrose competition. A Sausage Sizzle will be available this week.
Saturday November 6
Sponsored by Port Lincoln Tugs, a stroke round was played in conjunction with the Championships. There were 85 players.
