November 14
Sunday Mixed Stableford saw 24 players hit off, with Codey Marchesi again in the leaders’ list with 36 points, on a countback from Helen George. Rundowns went to Broden Dennis 36 and Brenton George 35.
November 16
Tuesday Twilight Golf attracted a good field of twenty, with Liz Weatherspoon winning with 21 points from Cynthia Thompson 20 and Darryl Scharfe on 19.
November 17
Lower Eyre Physio sponsored the Men’s Wednesday Stableford competition, with sixty players taking part.
Of interest, only one player in the winners’ circle scored less than 40 points. Josh Hausler won A Grade with 41 from Mick Hegarty on 38. The B Grade winner was sponsor Mark Cooper, also with 41 points, from Tim Robinson on 40. A countback in C Grade decided the winner, with Leon Newman winning from George Smith, both on 40 points.
Rundowns went to Brenton George 39, Adam Sullivan, Greg Barry and Mark Rowett on 37 and Boris Kovacic with 35.
NTP winners were Rick Kolega, Brenton George, Grant Bamber, Codey Marchesi, Peter Leahy and Ralph Glass.
Only three par-three birdies for the day, from Huey Rosalia, Rick Kolega and Wayne Smith.
November 18
The Ladies’ Thursday event was played in perfect weather conditions on a pristine course.
21 players took part in a Stroke competition and new player Diana Laube continues to lower her handicap, winning with 64 nett and seven strokes better than runner-up Jinny Hussey on 71.
Rundowns went to Rhondda Mayfield 72 and Carolyn Cocks and Sue Bishop on 74.
NTP winners were Annette Schaefer and Maxine Garnaut.
November 19
72 Players from 19 Teams enjoyed the Friday Night Ambrose Teams Event, which was followed by a BBQ Tea. Two new teams joined up this week, making a total of 26 teams now registered for the competition; that’s over 100 players joining in the fun!
November 20
Saturday’s competition was a Stableford event for the 79 Men who played, sponsored by Hunt’s Fuels and Eyre Refrigeration.
The score of the day came from Chris Baird in A Grade, scoring 44 points from Ben Abley on 39. Graeme Charlton counted out Corey Stephens to win B Grade with 37 points, and Broden Dennis took out C Grade with 39 from Samuel Beare on 38.
Fifteen women played a Par event, with Heather Darley on +2 winning from Since Samba Manuel with one down.
