November 21

Sunday’s Mixed Stableford competition saw thirty take to the course, with Ben Abley top-scoring with 40 points from Tony Mallard on 36. Rundowns went to Daniel Brown and Helen George, also on 36 points.

November 23

Tuesday’s Twilight competition attracted eleven players, with a three-way count-back on 18 points to decide the winners, who were Liz Weatherspoon, Trent Bradford and Huey Rosalia in that order.

November 24

The Men’s Wednesday Stableford competition had 59 hit off, with two visitors from Glenelg and Tea Tree Gully Clubs. The sponsors for the day were Hunt’s Fuels and Eyre Refrigeration.

The A Grade winner was Huey Rosalia with 40 points from Josh Hausler on 39. Brenton George had the score of the day to win B Grade with 42 from Peter Leahy on 40, and Noel Welfare returned to golf with flair, winning C Grade on 39 from Gerry Hemmings on 38.

Rundowns went to John Strycharski and Wayne Smith both on 38 and Greg Barry, Ben Jaensch and Leon Newman all scored 37.

NTP winners were Huey Rosalia, Josh Hausler, Jake Murray, Ryan Cottrell, John Strycharski and Darryl Scharfe. Par three birdies were scored by Huey Rosalia, John Stryscharski, Greg Barry, Geoffrey Chambers, Peter Kenny (twice), Wayne Smith and Colin Gamble.

November 25

On Thursday, 21 Ladies played a Stableford competition, sponsored by Spot on Fishing and Camping.

Liz Weatherspoon won the day with 38 points on a countback from Cynthia Thompson, with rundowns going to Deb Sykes 37 and Carolyn Cocks and Adie Fraser, both on 36 points.

Of interest, Carolyn Cocks was runner-up in the Silver Division of the International Bowl.

November 26

Friday Evening Ambrose Teams Events Round One is drawing to a close. The second round runs until the end of Daylight Savings, so enter a team now if you want to participate.

November 27

Saturday’s fields totalled almost 100 players, with 83 men and 15 women hitting off. There were two visitors, from Mt Osmond and Coffin Bay and the daily sponsors was Lincoln Fresh.

The men played a Stroke round which incorporated the Monthly Medal. Dylan Bell won A Grade with a gross score of 73, Peter Daniells’ 87 won B Grade and Garry Downey took out C Grade with 88.

The men’s handicap divisions for the day were won by Greg Cotton with 68 nett (and only a stroke away from the monthly medal), from Dylan Bell 70. Peter Daniells’ nett 70 won B Grade from Bob Ford on 73 and Garry Downey won C Grade with 69 from Boris Kovacic on 71.

Rundowns went to Chris Brooks 70, Ben Abley, Norm Marks and Huey Rosalia on 71, visitor Ryan Lack and Grant Bamber on 72 and Luke Gardner snapped a 73 nett.

The Ladies’s winner was Jo Higgins with 70 from Heather Darley 71.

NTP winners were Chris Brooks, Trevor Durdin, Tim Robinson, Ashley Durdin, Garry Downey, Dylan Bell and Luke Murray.

Birdies came from Greg Cotton, Dylan Bell, Norm Marks, Rex Bichard, Dylan Vonderwoll and Graeme Dyke.
