Saturday’s Stableford competition, proudly sponsored by Intersport, was played in pristine conditions with A Grade being settled by a countback. David Wadey and Norm Marks both shot a remarkable 40 points each and the barest of margins granted David the victory. B Grade had a standout winner with Broden Dennis shooting 37 points, 2 shots clear of John Cheriton. C Grade was separated on countback, Lindsay Gordon just edging out Ben Sampson with both men scoring 36 points.
The ladies also battled in Stableford competition, Deborah Sykes just pulling through on top with 38 points, a single point separating her and Leslee Findlay who secured second place.
Thursday’s competition saw the women compete in Stroke competition for the Club Championships, sponsored by Terry White Chemmart. Three women were separated by countback, each shooting a Nett of 74. Deborah Skyes took the honours, closely followed by Elaine Pierik and Margaret Jenkins.
The Beach Bakery sponsored the Men's competition on Wednesday. Once again, a countback was required to separate the winner in A Grade, Tyron George just edging out Taylor Ford, both men scoring 37 points. A countback was also needed in B Grade, David Sargent just scraping past Tom Dawson with each shooting 36 points. In the C Grade, Boris Kovacic won with 37 points scored, Brian Smith unable to bridge the gap with 36 points.
Monday saw another Stableford competition take place with Bob Sorensen coming out victorious with 37 points. William Ford was close behind in second having scored 33 points.
