With Golf and Seafood Week a month away, now is the time for players to start building some momentum.
Saturday saw the men take part in Stableford Competition, proudly sponsored by Lincoln Meat Service. A Grade was taken out by Geoff Nottle, besting his handicap by four shots for 40 points. Gavin Cheriton was close behind with 36 points. Paul Oldacre took the honours in B Grade with 40 points, Darryl Scharfe was four shots back with a score of 36. C Grade was won by Bill Healey having shot a score of 37, Ben Sampson his nearest competitor with 34.
The ladies took part in a Par competition, also sponsored by Lincoln Meat Service. Deborah Sykes walked away with the victory, having come through with a score of 0. Libby Dolphin came runner up after having shot a round of -2.
Thursday saw the women play out their Monthly Medal in Stroke competition, sponsored by the Food Warehouse. Maxine Garnaut blitzed the competition, shooting a Nett 66. Heather Darley was her closest competitor with a Nett 71.
Stableford competition was played by the men on Wednesday, once more sponsored by the Food Warehouse. Rex Bichard was the winner in A grade with 37 points, Dan Townsend only a single shot behind him in second. B Grade was taken out by Darryl Scharfe with 37 points. David Sargent was runner up with 34 points. David Krollig stood tall in C Grade with 36 points, Graeme Parker just behind with a score of 35.
