Saturday March 18th

A Stableford competition sponsored by EP Property Valuations saw 98 men and 19 women on the course including visitors from Whyalla, Caloundra, Cummins, Coffin Bay and The Social Golf Clubs.

Winner of the women’s competition was Jinny Hussey on 41 with Adie Fraser on 37 runner up. Michelle Smith scored a birdie on the 12th.

For men Huey Rosalia, 37 won A grade from Ryan Cocks,36 while in B grade Tyson Arthur’s 37 was best with Corey Stephens runner up on 36. The score of the day came from Toby Rawson who won C grade with 45 ahead of Kym Hosking, 40.

Run downs were awarded to Michael Gurr, Zephyr Thomson, Michael Mazey, Maurie Barry, Todd George, Norm Marks, Juri Berzins and Haydn Myers all of whom scored 36.

Par 3 birdies were scored by Toby Rawson, Huey Rosalia, Tyson Arthur, Zephyr Thomson, Haydn Myers, Gavin Cheriton, Robert Proude, Graeme Dyke, Grant Bamber, Luke Gardner, Peter Meadow, Marc Chapman (2) and Luke Dempsey.

Nearest the pins were won by Darryl Scharfe, Matthew Hind, Zephyr Thomson, Mike Freeman, Tyson Arthur and Marc Chapman.

Thursday March 16th

The Grand Tasman Hotel sponsored the stroke round contested by 22 women. Jo Higgins, nett 69 won well ahead of Gail Watherston, with nett 73 who was runner up after counting out Carolyn Cocks.

 

Wednesday March 15th 

Sekol Farmed Tuna sponsored the Stableford round contested by 70 men including visitors from Ramah and Whyalla Golf Clubs. Best scores came from A grade winner Trent Bradford, 40, who counted out Jake Murray. Graeme Dyke, 41 won B grade ahead of Darryl Scharfe, 40 while C grade was a tight contest between Derek Williams, 36 counting out runner up Peter Meadows leaving Robert Fox who also scored 36 with one of the run downs. Also awarded run downs were Dan Townsend, Simon Bell and Rick Kolega all on 40 and Michael Schoeman and Dave Bellchambers both on 36.

Par 3 birdies were scored by Simon Bell, Scott Lombe, Warren Rosman, Dylan Bell, Ben Jaensch and Chris Cottrell.

Nearest the pins went to Warren Rosman (2), Simon Bell, Trent Bradford, Scott Lombe and Josh Hausler.

 

Tuesday March 14th

Only 6 players were out for the 10 hole twilight Stableford which Liz Weatherspoon, 20 won from Fred Tammist, 19.

 

Monday March 13th

A field of 29 turned up for the mixed Stableford competition. Trevor Durdin’s 40 was good enough to win from Kaye Jaensch on 38 with run downs going to Ally Russell, also 38 and Ash Durdin on 37.

Trevor Durdin, Mike Freeman, Tony Dragun, Ben Kotz and Jack Shanley all scored par 3 birdies.

Sunday March 12th

The mixed Stableford round played by 16, including James Whisson from Echunga, and sponsored by E P Property Valuations was won by George Mayhew, 38 while runner up Luke Dempsey scored 37. Not far behind was Paul Oldacre scoring 36 for a run down.
