Saturday saw 65 men take part in challenging conditions on the golf course, hot northerly winds draining away at the players stamina. M & M Tree Removal sponsored the event.

Kym Hosking was able to shoot the score of the day in B Grade, locking in 42 points. He was three shots clear of Steve Thompson in second. A single shot separated the winner and runner up in A Grade, Dylan Bell taking honours just ahead of James Blewitt. Brad Giles was victorious in C Grade with 39 points, Shaun Anderson close behind with 36 points.

Eleven women competed in a Stableford Competition on Saturday with Helen George winning with 37 points, two shots clear of Lynne Hosking.

Thursday saw the women take part in Par competition, sponsored by M & M Tree removal. A countback was necessary to separate first and second, Kaye Jaensch just edging past Diana Laube with both women scoring 3.

M & M Tree Removal also sponsored the Men’s Stableford competition on Wednesday with 60 men taking to the field. In the A Grade, Adam Sullivan was too strong with a score of 38, one shot clear of Codey Marchesi. George Mayhew was the best in B Grade, putting together an astounding score of 41 points. Steven Thomson was close behind with 38 points. One shot separated the top of the table in C Grade, Graeme Parker just edging past Michael Kenny with 38.

On the social side of things, 101 players visited the golf course Friday afternoon to take part in a 9 hole Ambrose competition.
